shuswap better at home
Shuswap Better at Home provides non-medical supports to seniors aged 65+ living independently in their own homes. We provide housekeeping, in-home friendly visits and activities, companionship outings/supported transportation, grocery shopping, and some light home repairs and yard work.
We serve seniors living in Enderby and its surrounding rural communities.
THE ROLE
- Usually visits are scheduled 1hr/2wks and you are paired with 1-2 seniors who are a good match for you.
- Minimum commitment is 1-2 hours/month, between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Wonderful work experience if you are currently a student, or thinking of entering into the medical field, social work or any other type of support work.
- There is gas reimbursement for volunteer drivers from pick-up to drop-off location with your senior.
