ENDERBY & DISTRICT FIRE DEPARTMENT

Being a Volunteer Firefighter requires courage, dedication, discipline and a willingness to learn new skills. The rewards? The opportunity to save people, to make friends, to learn new things, to serve your community, and to challenge yourself.

THE ROLE

  • The Enderby & District Fire Department serves the City of Enderby, part of rural Enderby
    (Shuswap River Fire Protection District) and Splatsin residents
  • This department has 25-30 volunteer members who attend approximately 170 calls/year
  • Volunteers must be 19 years old, live within the Fire District & have a valid BC Driver’s License
  • Minimum commitment is two hours/week for Tuesday night fire practice
  • This is not just a fire crew committed to serving its community…this is a family
