Good Food Box
The Good Food Box is a volunteer-run, non-profit monthly bulk produce-buying program that helps people access fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. Volunteers in Enderby help sort and assemble boxes, distribute them to community members and, where needed, deliver boxes to people who have difficulty picking them up. This is one of many wonderful programs coordinated by the Enderby & District Community Resource Centre.
THE ROLE
- Help receive and sort fresh produce
- Assemble produce into Good Food Boxes
- Help distribute boxes on the third Thursday of each month
- Assist with delivery driving when needed
- Help make fresh, nutritious produce more accessible in our community
- A great fit if you enjoy practical, hands-on work and connecting with people
- Volunteer opportunities are concentrated around the third Thursday of each month; local volunteers are also sought to help with pickup, assembly and distribution in Enderby
