Art in the Park // Play in the Park
Art in the Park and Play in the Park bring families together at Barnes Park throughout July and August for creative activities, games and outdoor play. Art in the Park runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 11:30am, while Play in the Park runs Wednesdays from 9:30am to 12pm. Both are free, family-friendly drop-in programs featuring crafts, games, outdoor play, snacks and refreshments. Volunteers help make these programs happen by setting up, supporting activities, and joining in the fun with local children and families. Occasional weather or air quality relocations take place at the Enderby & District Community Resource Centre.
THE ROLE
- Help set up and take down the program space
- Help organize and manage art supplies
- Assist with art activities for young children and their parents
- Help create a welcoming, creative and fun environment
- Enjoy connecting with families while helping make summer mornings active and engaging
- Art in the Park commitment is Tuesdays and Thursdays in July and August, 9:30am-11:30am
- Play in the Park commitment is Wednesdays in July and August, 9:30am-12pm
