The Sunshine Line
The Sunshine Line is a free telephone program connecting seniors in Enderby and Area F (Rural Enderby) with trained volunteers for friendly conversation and daily check-ins. A simple phone call can help seniors feel connected, supported and reassured, while creating meaningful connections between volunteers and local seniors. This is one of many special programs provided by the Enderby & District Community Resource Centre.
THE ROLE
- Brighten someone’s day with a friendly phone call
- Have a conversation and get to know a local senior
- Help someone feel less isolated and more connected to their community
- Provide a reassuring daily safety check-in
- Calls can be scheduled for morning, afternoon or evening
- Build a meaningful connection from the comfort of your own home
- Training and support are provided
